Blood Plasma

Blast freezers are commonly used in the medical industry to freeze blood plasma rapidly. Blood plasma is a valuable resource, containing proteins, nutrients, and antibodies that can be used to treat a range of medical conditions. To preserve the quality of plasma, it must be frozen quickly, typically within 8 hours of collection, to prevent the degradation of its valuable components. Blast freezers can freeze blood plasma within minutes, reducing the risk of degradation and ensuring that the plasma can be stored for extended periods. Blast freezers can also maintain the temperature of frozen plasma at around -30°C, preventing the growth of bacteria and viruses. The use of blast freezers in the medical industry has improved the availability and quality of blood plasma, leading to better patient outcomes and increased demand for plasma-derived therapies.
